Vintage chifferobe was purchased by a customer and wanted it painted with as many flowers as possible. We also changed out the hardware to another antique handle and painted and distressed them. Hand Painted Shabby Chic Distressed Armoire

We found this great french provincial armoire at an auction house in South Jersey.  We painted it a very pale pink and distressed the edges and we were able to get the lock to work.  A customer purchased it who needed extra closet space at a beach house.  This piece is not available but please click on the website to see what is in the store. click here to go to the store website now.

Vintage Painted Armoire, Wardrobe, Shabby Chic Distressed

We purchased this armoire and it needed some repairs.  We got to work and painted it a creamy white with a tea stain.  We then added a small amount of flowers to the doors and new glass knobs and new wheels.  This is still in the store, but please check to see if it is available. click here to see more pix and what we have in the store

Antique Painted Armoire, Wardrobe, Shabby Distressed

We recently did this wardrobe, armoire for the store.  It is painted off white with creamy accents and slightly distressed.  We kept it's original hardware and slightly distressed it. There is a matching bed.  I recently learned from researching and talking to antique dealer friends of mine, that wardrobe and armoire mean the same thing.  They used to use these closets for armor (shields, swords) long ago in France.  It then changed into something for clothing.  But, when there are two doors that open--It is an armoire or wardrobe.

Handpainted antique wardrobe

Painted this beautiful wardrobe. I recently found a pair of them I did one a couple of months ago and I just finished this one. It needed a new mirror but the hardware is the original. I love the way it looks. My neighbor had a great idea. she bought me a couple of wooden hangers and told me to paint them and hang them inside. I am going to get started on that.
