Vintage Painted Side Table Sage

This was a unique project.  We loved the table base above but the top was cracked--which could be fixed--but also warped.  We took the top off and used the top from the table in the first picture.  That table's base was cracked.  So we married the two tables together, to make the table below.  A sage green side table with gold edge.  It is available in the store right now for $59.00.  Please check website to make sure it is still available.

French Provincial Painted Vintage Tables

We did these two tables for someone who wanted similar tables but not identical.  The height difference was ok.  We painted them the same and they made a great pair. The top was done in shades of brown and the body of the tables in green.  This was a custom job and is not available in the store. Painted vintage radio cabinet bookcase shabby chic

We purchased this radio cabinet and took out the insides.  It had doors that were warped and we removed them.  We then replaced the back and painted it and it became a shabby chic bookcase.  Great use for an old piece

Antique Painted Armoire, Wardrobe, Shabby Distressed

We recently did this wardrobe, armoire for the store.  It is painted off white with creamy accents and slightly distressed.  We kept it's original hardware and slightly distressed it. There is a matching bed.  I recently learned from researching and talking to antique dealer friends of mine, that wardrobe and armoire mean the same thing.  They used to use these closets for armor (shields, swords) long ago in France.  It then changed into something for clothing.  But, when there are two doors that open--It is an armoire or wardrobe.

Vintage Painted French Provincial Dresser

We did the dresser for a customer who picked out these three warm colors and wanted to incorporate them into the dresser.  She knew exactly how she wanted the blue and gray.  We also did side tables for her in just the white.  This was something very different for me, but I was glad to try something new. I have used the gray time and again and I was glad that she introduced me to it.  This is not available in the store but please visit our website to see what we do have available http://www.handpaintedbycookie.com/
