vintage handpainted hope chest

Did this beautiful old piece for the customer who bought large armoire that we had in the store. She had this great old trunk but it was red and did not go with her decor anymore. We painted it to match her room. It is very subtle.

Handpainted antique wardrobe

Painted this beautiful wardrobe. I recently found a pair of them I did one a couple of months ago and I just finished this one. It needed a new mirror but the hardware is the original. I love the way it looks. My neighbor had a great idea. she bought me a couple of wooden hangers and told me to paint them and hang them inside. I am going to get started on that.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that you can subscribe to this blog? There is a little sign at the top that looks like an orange stereo speaker. A small orange square. You can click on that. Everytime I add something new it will send you an email as often as you would like. You can subscribe, weekly, monthly, etc. Your choice. You can also find this feature on other websites. Mostly chain stores, like Walmart and so on. Pretty cool feature, right? It is called a "feed". I do not have one on my website yet. I have not figured out how to embed it. Something new for me to learn. But you can just use this link:

Antique Cedar Chest

I had a customer who had this great cedar chest that was passed down through the family. I really liked the ornate legs. They wanted to repurpose and use this as a coffee table. I like the way it came out. I think it is great to repurpose what you already have.

Handpainted picnic basket

Did this great picnic basket. It is in good shape and I think it would work great for storage and other things. Like towels, magazines, yarn, etc.

handpainted sign

I did this sign for a friend. She wanted a realistic dog. Since I do not do portraits this was a stretch for me. I was glad to try something new.

Painted vintage chest/storage trunk

This great piece is an antique and was made to be put at the foot of a bed. A regular bed is 27" tall and this is 26" tall. Great for storing lots of stuff and also good to use as a bench at the foot of a bed.

Handpainted shabby chic china cabinet

Did this great china cabinet. It took alot of work and much TLC but we got it done. It needed new glass and a serious face lift. I did not put alot of artwork on it because I felt the details in the cabinet itself were enough. I love it.

Happy Mothers Day

I finally am online at the business. After weeks of trading computer towers and working out bugs and calling verizon and comcast, we are finally online at work.

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mom's out there. It is one of the most important jobs in the world. Being a Mom has made my life better and turned me into someone I never thought I would be. (In a good way) It is amazing how children change you and how hard you have to work at things and how tough it is to always set a good example. But it is all worth it. I can't imagine not being a Mom.
